How secured is your finger prints?
Bio-metrics have taken the authentication process to different level. A strong password of any length seems to be insecure, This seems to be a promising authentication process for sometime.Apple have added the fingerprint sensor in it’s last edition of iphone 5s
Don’t get relived after adding an fingerprint authentication on your laptops,tablets & smartphones. Hackers have already made a break though and showed that this can be hacked.
A fingerprints can be obtained from any soft surface that the subject has touched with their bare hands.
Going one step forward, Chaos computer club,Europe’s largest association of hackers have showed that the finger prints can be retrieved from an high quality photo. They have successfully retrieved the fingerprints of the German defense minster from the photograph taken during a presentation.
Google is researching on coming up with a version of android that lets you to login to your phone without passwords.
Almost all andriod phone collect patterns of data with it’s sensor and input devices like camera. With all those data, The newer Andriod version will build a trust score which will determine the person logging into your phone is you.
