Idukki, the second largest district in kerala had another gem added to it’s throne. Yes. Idukki becomes the first Indian first hi-speed rural broadband network as a part of a new era of Digital India project.
With the commissioning of the network, Idukki with a large tribal and rural population would become the first district in the country to have all its gram panchayats connected through National Optical Fibre Network (NOFN).
Idukki’s gram panchayats wil enjoy a 100 Mbps of bandwidth.
